Passions has cast South African Adrian Wilson in the contract role of Christopher Boothe. He first airs August 18. "Chris comes to Harmony at a time when the populace is trying to rally after a series of devastating natural disasters," executive producer Lisa de Cazotte says. "His influence on many of the key characters in our story will be profound."
A setside spy tells TVGuide.com that Chris will have a particularly "profound" effect on long-suffering heiress Sheridan Crane while her lover Luis is MIA during Galen Gering's upcoming hiatus from the show. (Gering had to be preemptively written out when it was unclear whether he'd opt to renew his contract.)
