BURBANK, Calif. -- April 5, 2006 -- NBC Daytime announced today the launch of its first ever clothing line "Crane Couture" inspired by the fashionable styles seen on the hottest "Passions" character Fancy Crane (Emily Harper).
As a clothing designer on the series with her finger on the pulse of fashion, Fancy's style is fresh, chic and always en vogue. Beginning tomorrow Thursday, April 6, a collection of fashionable tops and skirts will be available exclusively online at www.cranecouture.com, which can also be accessed through www.NBC.com/Passions. The site will also provide fashion tips on how to mix and match the separates with the buyer's own wardrobe. More pieces, including original accessories, are due out later this summer.
"We are thrilled to be the first daytime drama to sell a character's clothing line to the fans exclusively online," said Annamarie Kostura, Vice President, NBC Daytime Programs. "The launch of 'Crane Couture' will give 'Passions' fans a taste of Fancy's life, while adding their own unique style to the look."
The "Crane Couture" collection is a collaboration of designs created by Delivery Agent, Inc. and "Passions" and is the first clothing line incorporated into a daytime drama that is also available to the public. Delivery Agent worked with "Passions" to design the line and will continue to partner with the show to manufacture and distribute items. Viewers can see Fancy wearing her designs on-air throughout the month of April and will be alerted to further "Crane Couture" airings through on-air mentions.
"Crane Couture" currently features four tops and three skirts --emphasizing wearable fabrics, flattering styles, intricate designs and the bright, bold colors. Prices for tops range from $34 - $42; skirts from $38- $110 -- all styles are available in women's sizes small, medium and large.
