If you missed the Tuesday, June 1st episode of "Passions" then you missed a lot.
This was definitely Rebecca's finest hour. Rebecca finally realizes that there is more to life than just money, power, and prestige. She now realizes that she was missing one important thing and that was having true love. Rebecca revealed to Julian that she has never had love and she doesn't think that she will ever have true love. Rebecca even felt bad for Julian that he will be losing out on love with Eve. She now gets it and understands why Julian wants love in his life.
I am so glad that the writers did this for Rebecca. It's nice to see Rebecca's softer side. Perhaps her conversation with Julian is a bit of foreshadowing. She wants love and if she can't find that with Julian then she will find that with someone else. Maybe Rebecca is going to find herself a boyfriend to have on the side. I don't think Rebecca is going to give up the money, power, and prestige of being a Crane. But, I do see her having someone special on the side.
Hopefully, Rebecca will not continue to push Gwen into a loveless romance with Ethan. Maybe if Rebecca sees that Ethan's heart isn't into it then she wouldn't want Gwen to be with someone like him. That's probably not likely but, at least Rebecca knows that love is very important and I'm sure she would want the best for her daughter.
