passions near cancellation

I was looking over the ratins of the soaps and passions is at the bottom of the list. I am scared that it will be cancelled like Another world and Sunset Beach. I think the show needs a new head writer with another writing team because the show has been going around in circles since its debut. They are too slow and I think they need too step it up and get rid of the unrealistic stuff.

I give Passions a 5 only because I'm so addicted. I hate the fact that they draw you in, and then don't give you what you want. Luis find Sheridan already!!!!! It drives me crazy. I may stop watching for a week, But I'm back very soon. I can't stay away!

This is one bad soap, and not in a good way, It's been on how long? and none of their storylines has ever ended. I tried to like it but can't. The only characters I like are, Julian, Tabitha, Preious and Mrs. Wallace. The rest are either stupid, dumb, mean or angry. I want Grace to find out that her son David isn't hers...BLAH BLAH BLAH
The writers don't seem to have a very large vocabulary. They have the characters repeating the same lines over and over.
Passions is the worst soap ever! If I hear someone say, "I have to be with the man/woman I love," one more time, I am going to hurl.
Okay, Okay, I know its goofy. I used to hate it! But sometimes when I sit down to watch it, it sucks me in! It is colorful. The men are hot! The story lines are very slow, however. I watch it about once a week and I always know what is going on. I hate all this unrequited love, however. I am especially sick of seeing Sheridan and Luis apart!! The acting sux sometimes but you know,
I am going to write the writers and give them some helpful suggestions.

BURBANK, Calif. –- July 1, 2004 –- NBC Daytime has won the second quarter in the key demographic of women 18-49 with the quarter's two fastest-growing daytime dramas versus year-ago results, "Passions" and "Days of our Lives."

"Passions" topped its year-ago women 18-49 rating by 13 percent to match its highest second-quarter rating ever and "Days" was up for the quarter by 5 percent. No drama on ABC or CBS was up versus second quarter 2003 results.

NBC has now won 10 straight quarters among women 18-49 (including ties). NBC also won the second quarter among women 18-34 (the network's 18th quarterly win in a row), women 18-24 and females 12-17.

"Days" (2.3 rating, 15 share among women 18-49, 2.8/18 among women 18-34) tied for #1 for the quarter in women 18-49 rating and was #1 outright among women 18-49 viewers with 1.515 million. "Days" was also a dominant #1 for the quarter among women 18-34, a category in which "Days" has been #1 or tied for #1 for 463 of the last 465 weeks.

For the quarter, "Passions" (1.7/11 among women 18-49, 2.1/13 among women 18-34) tied for #6 among women 18-49 and was #2 among women 18-34.

Second quarter averages among women 18-49 were: NBC, a 2.0 rating (up 5 percent vs. the second quarter of 2003); ABC, 1.9 (even); CBS, 1.6 (down 6 percent). Note that NBC broadcasts two hours a day of daytime programming while ABC airs four hours and CBS carries four-and-a-half hours.

For the June 21-25 week, "Days (2.2/14 among women 18-49, 2.6/16 among women 18-34) tied for #2 among women 18-49 and was #1 in the valuable women 18-34 category. For the week "Passions" (1.5/10 among women 18-49, 1.9/11 among women 18-34) tied for #7 among women 18-49 and was #3 among women 18-34. For the week of June 21-25, averages among women 18-49 were: ABC, 1.9; NBC, 1.8; CBS, 1.7. NBC Daytime was #1 for the week in the valuable women 18-34 category for the 238th week in a row.

For the season, NBC Daytime is #1 among women 18-49, women 18-34, women 18-24, females 12-17 and working women 18-49.
