Jessica Bennett has a new job as a mark representative! Both Jessica, and her portrayer Danica Stewart, couldn't be more thrilled about being involved with mark, Avon's new business. Jessica can't wait to sell their hot beauty products designed especially for young women...it's a great way for her to earn money and have fun at the same time! Are you excited about Jessica being a mark Representative?
That's so exciting for me. I feel very blessed with getting the opportunity to do this great story. I can relate to it because I would have loved to do this when I was in high school. I hope I can continue working with them. It's not only great for my character, but it's a great relationship between mark and "Passions." I love the idea-it's something that's really never been done before.
Have you had a chance to sample the products? What do you think?
They have such great products. They even have accessories like purses. I got a bracelet that I wear all the time. I love it. Their products are really cool because they go in your purse really well. They're interchangeable and they're tiny. They can fit anywhere. The makeup is very light. They have a lot of light shimmers and light lip gloss. I'm a big fan of lip gloss. And everything feels very light on your face. You can tell that it's geared toward young women.
Would you share it with your friends?
I already have! They all love it. I have two roommates and I came home with a bunch of stuff. We all tried it on. They think it's great-they can't wait for me to get more. I think anyone who uses it will like it.
What kind of message do you think mark sends to young women?
I think it sends a message about being independent. It's a great opportunity for young women. I hope I can show them this is a great job. If they were to have a job wouldn't they like to be their own boss, make their own hours, and sell a fun product that all of their friends will use? I hope to show young women that it's a fun job-it's a great thing to do.
Do you like the idea that it sends in terms of young women making their own living in their own way?
They can be independent and make their own money. They can also learn a lot about themselves by doing their own thing and seeing how they can sell the product.
What do you think Jessica uses her money for?
Probably clothes! When I was in high school, that's what I spent my money on! Actually, to this day, I still spend a lot of my money on clothes.
Can you talk about your experiences in Orlando at the Avon convention?
I had a great experience. I went with James (Hyde, Sam) and we had so much fun. It was a good chance for me to get to know him better. Everyone from mark is great. On the first day, I went out on stage. They introduced me and showed a clip from "Passions." The next two days we signed autographs. The women were flocking to James, of course!
How was it meeting all the women at the convention?
It was great--they are so excited about the partnership between "Passions" and mark. They had so much energy and were so thrilled about the new product, as well as having us be a part of it. Deborah (Fine, President Avon Future) was so sweet. One night we went out to dinner and I told her I loved her watch. It was a mark watch and she took it off and put it on my wrist! I think we built a really great relationship with the people at mark.
Can you talk about meeting the mark Goal Models?
They are so amazing. One of them started her company when she was about 13! She designed hair clips and they were sold at major department stores. She had an idea and built it from scratch. I think it's great that they picked people based completely on personality and what they've accomplished. I think that says a lot for mark.
Do you think Jessica is a good role model?
She's a great role model. I know a lot of parents would love for their kids to have jobs. Jessica has a job. You can tell how independent she is. And I think she's a great role model in the family aspect. She's very family oriented. She's a good girl.
