The mystery woman is Rachel Barret. For those of you who don't know her she is the one who used to be with Alister but everyone was told that she was supposed to have been killed in a boating accident and then Alister married her sister Katherine instead. What has yet to be explained is who the person in the coffin that Alister said was Rachel is. Also according to Alister after Katherine and Martin saw the coffin he said that it was Sheridan who killed her.
