“So he loved Whitney my best friend all along” Theresa whispered quietly as she hide in the bushes. “He used me. He couldn’t even tell me. Why? Even if we weren’t meant to be why did he lie? I thought we had more then that. I thought he loved…” Theresa trailed off she couldn’t take the thought that Fox didn’t want her at all but wanted her best friend Whitney. She wanted, needed to run. Run away from her feelings for the betrayer, from the pain she felt in her heart her soul, He use to be her confidant the person she went to when she was in need and now to find out what they had was a scheme for his true love? It was killing her. She needed to run, needed to run from Fox.
Theresa after she had gotten into her apartment she fell a sleep from the exhaustion of the tears that fell down her cheeks and how much pondering her mind endured. She fell into a soul-searching dream.
A voice from within spoke softly quietly as the wind whistled a tune, calmly and tenderly
in the back round. “Theresa why do you try so much, so hard to find love? Why do you feel that you could trust them? The voice asked almost bitterly. Theresa in a white gown flowing swiftly below her toes walked silently and watched as her past memories came rushing to her. The voice within continued. “Ever since you were a little girl man figure in your life has lacked. There was no man figure in your life.” Theresa at first was confused from the statement said but remembered how her father had disappeared those many years ago. She turned her position to find a memory of herself at a very young age. “Mama where is Pops? How come he hasn’t come home yet?” Theresa asked quietly tears brimming her big brown eyes. “ Thereista I don’t know where her father is, but he’ll be home soon ok?” Pilar said to reassure her little daughter, but Pilar herself wasn’t so sure. The voice within began, “ Do you see what I’m talking about? First it was your father who still hasn’t been found till this day, Then Ethan…The voice paused as Theresa turned her gaze to another memory that was playing before her. “Ethan I love you and always will” She mentioned as Ethan planted himself inside of her breaking the barrier of her virginity as they made love on the beach that day about two years ago. Theresa then saw the day when he married Gwen. That barren day that stripped her of her dignity, and a piece of her already wounded heart. “Ethan said you were the only one he loved and yet married your rival Gwen. And still he holds on to the fact that your love was true to show the jealousy that pecked through when you were with Fox.” At the name Fox, Theresa bent her head in humiliation. The wind blow more rapidly around her as memories of her son came to her. “Mommy I love you” Little Ethan mentioned as he gave his mother a hug. Theresa then turned around and saw herself along with Fox, Ethan, Gwen, and Rebecca in a court room. “ Ethan Martin is now in permanent custody of Mr. Ethan Winthrop and Mrs. Gwen Winthrop” The judge pronounced. Theresa broke down in Fox’s arms when the words left the judge’s lips. Her whole world crashed before that day. Little Ethan was the only good in her life. And on that day that too disappeared. Tears cascaded down her angelic tan face as she remembered the powerful force of pain that feel upon her that day. “My son” Theresa whispered. The voice replied “ Yes your son. Even your son was taken away from you.” It mentioned solemnly. Theresa continued “And now Fox is gone” she whispered. “Yes. Fox. The prince charming. The one who stood by you through thick and thin.” Theresa couldn’t take it anymore she ran.But the more she ran the more memories of Fox came to her. She finally gave up and stood still as memories surrounded her. She saw the day when Fox said he loved her, When they made love for the first time, When they danced at the Marine, When he paid her bail out of Jail, it all flooded back to her. She fell to the ground weak. “ Theresa, don’t trust them anymore don’t give your heart, It will just be broken” The Voice echoed in her ears lightly before it left her there alone.
Theresa shook herself out of her slumber. “It’s true, It’s all true” She sobbed uncontrollably. Through out her 23 years of life she then noticed that the many tears that have ever fallen from her brown eyes were created from hurt of the heart and of the soul. The ocean of tears that she cascaded down her tan face she observed has become a trademark of who she was. Never happy, never glad, and never consistent, but always in Pain. Theresa shuddered at the thought. More tears stained her face of the idea of being alone for the rest of her life. As she forced herself into a sitting position a flow of throbbing and pain ran through her body. She looked down and to her horror saw sight of blood trail down her legs. She yelped for help but it came out as whimper. “God, please I can’t lose this baby it’s my only chance to get my son back. Please” She cried softly.
